A young man who works as a bishop at the Barsburg Church with Labrador, Castor and Lance. After a Hawkzile crash, he carries Teito to the church and starts looking after him. When Teito passes the bishop exam and becomes Frau’s apprentice, the two go on a journey to visit the seven God Houses. Frau is the vessel of the ghost Sichel, whose job is to sever people’s bonds with misfortune. He is also the current owner of Verloren’s scythe.

~!Frau was orphaned at a young age and lived in a small island named Eden until he became a sky pirate, working in a ship named Aegis alongside his idol, Guido. At the end of the Raggs war, Aegis was attacked by the Barsburg military and Frau was the only person in the ship who survived. Using the extreme grief Frau felt at that moment, Landkarte implanted Verloren's Scythe into him. Guido, the previous vessel of Sichel, used Sichel’s spirit to possess Frau and control Verloren's scythe, allowing Frau to continue living. After this, Frau started living in the church and eventually became a bishop, passing the exam with the highest mark anyone has ever gotten.!~

~!At the end of the story, he becomes one with Verloren’s scythe after losing his body in an attempt to protect Teito. He goes through the Land of Seele with Teito and becomes the new Verloren. He is seen continuing his duties as Verloren in the mangakas’ second series, Battle Rabbits, which takes place thousands of years after 07-Ghost in a completely separate universe.!~
