Akira Hino is a high school student and [Shimamura Hougetsu](https://anilist.co/character/144718/Hougetsu-Shimamura)'s friend. She is introduced in Chapter 2, where she is visiting a bookstore with [Shimamura Hougetsu](https://anilist.co/character/144718/Hougetsu-Shimamura) and [Nagafuji](https://anilist.co/character/167928/Taeko-Nagafuji).

Hino has shoulder length hair, tied into low twintails. She is rather short, being shorter than Shimamura and Nagafuji. She also has big eyes.

Hino has a bubbly personality and is known to add in sound effects, whether they're needed or not. She also enjoys fishing, though she often complains about not having any school fishing friends.
