Diego Brando

Diego Brando (usually called "Dio" for short) is a famous professional jockey from England. He is one of the participants in the Steel Ball Run race. Although unrelated to his DIO counterpart directly (parts 1-6 and 7-8 take place in two distinct, separate universes), he appears to be very similar to the original Dio in both looks and personality.

~!He was raised among a group of homeless people after his mother saved him from drowning in a river when he was still a baby. He was later adopted into nobility when his talent as a jockey was discovered. Although he was raised with much love, he acts cold-hearted and will do virtually anything to win.!~

~!Diego first turned into a dinosaur after he, along with a number of villagers, were controlled by Dr. Ferdinand stand Scary Monsters in order to steal the left eye of the Saint's Corpse from Johnny and Gyro.
After Ferdinand was defeated, Diego stole the corpse part and fused it with his left eye, allowing him to retain the Scary Monsters stand ability to turn himself into a dinosaur.!~

~!Diego is killed after he attempts to kill Valentine by dragging him under the train, which results in Diego being torn in half by the train instead; although he is soon succeeded by a Diego from a neighboring universe, retrieved by Valentine, to track down Johnny.!~
