Ramlethal is a second-generation "Valentine," a life form created in the image of humanity by the Universal Will to succeed the first-generation Valentine seen in Guilty Gear 2. She is accompanied by a balloon-shaped familiar named Lucifero, split into white and black halves, who carries katana-styled greatswords on her behalf. Ramlethal emotes very little, often having deadpan responses when people speak to her, remaining a rather quiet person.

During Guilty Gear Xrd, in accordance with the orders from her mother implanted in her memories, Ramlethal's objective was the destruction of humanity. Unquestioning of her mother's directives, she viewed herself as a obedient "tool" to be used to achieve a goal, and believed herself to be disposable once she achieves her mission. However, through her interactions with various people such as [Sin Kiske](https://anilist.co/character/72989/Sin-Kiske), Bedman, and her younger sister Elphelt, she came to learn more about humanity and began to feel emotions. She'd eventually come to the conclusion that she nor Elphelt are tools like she was programmed to believe, which led her to rebel against her programming and become an ally to mankind. By the events of Strive, Ramlethal has become a Special Brigade Commander in Illyria's military.
