Narancia Ghirga's mother is only mentioned in a flashback, where it is stated that she died in 1994 from an eye infection when Narancia was only 10 years old. Despite the fact that Narancia's own eye infection was a mere coincidence after being beaten up by police officers, all of his friends were convinced that it was contagious and that he got it from his mother.
