Zixin Wang
An independent game designer - an illustrator that cannot code. He created the "Abyss Game" with the protagonist being "Abyss". One day, after being informed by his boss that the game is terrible, he gets stabbed by Abyss and the time rewinds to the moment he was talking with his coworker. The loop repeats several times until the configuration is triggered and Wangzi enters the world of "Abyss Game". The action takes place 8 years before the main story begins. He was given a mission by the mysterious and faceless Abyss Game's Administrator to help Abyss clear the game while preventing him from degenerating.
At first, Wang Zixin wants to avoid and is scared of the game's protagonist, but later they begin to work well with each other.
~!Later in the story, they start collaborating and living with Li Mingyue and Qiu Ji. Slowly, Wangzi starts to take care of Abyss and has a soft spot for him. He even states that their dynamic is like that of a father and a son. While being in the world of "Abyss Game" he is not aware that Abyss is putting on a mask and isn't an innocent child he seems to be.!~
~!He uses Abyss' abilities to his advantage but also protects him whenever he can - it's especially visible during the third game, the roll-and-move board based game. During it, not only he states that he will help anybody who is going to save Abyss from a certain death, but threatens to use the Annihilate Card, which makes everyone die, if someone tries to do anything to him. Just before the third game, though, he also tells Li Mingyue that he wanted to participate in the game, because he needed money. That fact correlates with his past, as he even whispers about money during the hallucinations that make him think about his past at the end of the third game.!~
~!The hallucinations make him recall the past, when his father committed suicide due to debts piling up, and his mother died of lung cancer earlier than expected, because she didn't want her son to pay the medical bills. In the past, he also gambled and had a business where he gambled for other people and received money for it.!~
~!During the fourth game, when Abyss has already seen Wangzi disappearing in front of him, Wang Zixin explains to him that he is the game's creator. After this, Abyss begins to want to come to designer's world.!~
~!In the last, fifth, game, Wangzi willingly dies for Abyss, as he does not want to live in his place. The creator gives the protagonist antidote and dies of poison himself. Dying, he remarks that he was supposed to lose control, but he instead feels very sober. He also says that Abyss can go to his world and find him if he ever wants to.!~
~!After coming back to the real world, the creator notices that the storyline has changed from being an action game, where Abyss was slaughtering the players, to being a role-playing survival game, where the players enter the area as the creator, raise Abyss and help him clear the stages.!~
~!Later, he also meets Abyss in the real world. But the boy, who is now 24-years-old, is not staying there for long. After accompanying Wangzi for some time, he gets a mission and has to transmigrate to a horror game world, "Prison Deceptions". But in the last second when the boy is going into the portal, the creator catches his hand and goes into another world with him. In the new world, he becomes a prison guard and has to unravel the mystery of the prisoners going insane and dying.!~
