Sakura Usuki
Height: 146 cm (4' 10")
Nationality: Japanese
Affiliation: United Nations Army (Yokohama Base, Special Task Force A-01)
Rank: Second Lieutenant
Born in Fukuoka, Sakura would move to Sadogashima at 9 years old. Sakura had loving parents that were Olympic marathon runners, and her mother loved to sing. Some of her happiest memories were watching them on TV and listening to her. When Sakura was 9, she would lose both of them in a drunk driving incident. She was taken in by her grandparents, and began a new life in Sadogashima.
After the 1998 BETA invasion of Sadogashima, Sakura lost her new home, her family, and all the progress she made from the despair she had once felt. She survived, but was left with a severe case of PTSD that induced both autism and aphasia.
When she was taken in by the Alternative IV Project, Captain Isumi's cared for her at every step of the recovery, both mental and physical. Before she was able to speak again, she began to sing, and Isumi would sing with her.
