Kuon Kanai

A second-year junior high school student who attends the same school as Karisu Kazamamori. He has short, dark brown hair. He is the reincarnation of a baby angel, collectively known as an "Aion," and since birth he has been able to see things that ordinary people can't see such as the spell-like black strings that cover the sky of Tokyo and small angel wings on other people's backs. He has also been possessed by a palm-sized angel-like being called a Clione since birth, and after Clione became one with Kuon's spine, Kuon was able to grow three wings. He has a strong crush on Karisu, and meets her on the school's rooftop every third Friday of the month, exchanging the special lunch box brought by Karisu, made by the chairman, for bread purchased by Kuon. He later confesses his feelings to Karisu, but is rejected.
