A student in Hope's Peak Academy's Class 78th, and a participant in the Killing School Life. She is the Super High School Level Gyaru, or Ultimate Fashionista in the English version.

Junko is talkative, charismatic, and can be hotheaded at times.

~!It is discovered that the girl who introduced herself as Junko wasn't really Junko at all, but actually Mukuro Ikusaba, her twin sister, the Ultimate Soldier. She was the "victim" of the fifth murder, her body having been used to create a fake crime scene. The real Junko, the younger twin who she switched places with, was the mastermind behind Monokuma, as well as the Tragedy.!~

~!Junko's real personality and mannerisms are erratic and unstable, switching through several "personalities" at the drop of a hat, which she says is because she gets bored easily. Junko is incredibly manipulative and cunning, having orchestrated the Tragedy. She is obsessed with despair and finds it to be the most enjoyable emotion in the world.!~

~!It is eventually revealed that her true talent is that of Super High School Level Analytical Prowess. This ability allows her to quickly analyze her surroundings with superhuman speed, detailed thinking, and memorization, giving her the ability to predict the future with near-perfect accuracy, as well as be able to learn and understand new skills by just seeing it once. This ability is also what gave Junko her "Ultimate Fashionista" title: because she's able to predict trends, she can predict what will become popular with society.!~
