Ben is the leader of the first platoon in [Riki's](https://anilist.co/character/9079/Riki pack). He is strong, patient, wise and loyal to the great Leader. Before he joined the group, Ben was a hunting dog in the town, Koufu. Ben's good heart and thoughtfulness towards other dogs in the past turns out to be at his favor, when he seeks them out to make them join the fight against [Akakabuto](https://anilist.co/character/9078/Akakabuto).
In GDW, Ben is one of the oldest of the surviving Ouu soldiers from the battle with Akakabuto. Upon his old age, he has returned to Koufu with his mate Cross. He has turned senile and often forgets things and Cross constantly needs to watch over him.
